EPC Upgrade Solutions for UK

Building Owners

Under Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), it's likely that EPC regulations are being revised so that the minimum rating requirements (currently a band 'E') will increase to become a band 'C' or above from 1st April 2025.

This means that landlords will need to upgrade their properties to achieve an EPC band C before they can grant a tenancy. However, the government has also said that eventually, these properties will have to attain an even higher ‘B’ rating.

The government are also discussing introducing new energy efficiency rules that would force ALL properties to have an EPC rating of 'C' or above at some point in the near future. This is part of the government’s Clean Growth Strategy plan which aims to make the UK net-zero by 2050.

When these new regulations come into effect,  all homeowners with an EPC rating of 'D' or below would be forced to carry out energy-saving upgrades to increase their energy rating to a 'C' or above in order to legally rent to tenants.

Thin Wall Insulation - EPC Upgrades

Almost one third of all homes in the United Kingdom - typically those built pre-1930s - have solid walls and according to the National Insulation Association, around 45% of all generated heat escapes through those solid walls.

The Energy Saving Trust (EST) reports that on average, installing solid wall insulation alone can help you save up to a massive £930 a year on your heating bills!

Until now, building owners have been forced to opt for expensive EWI (External Wall Insulation), or floorspace robbing IWI (Internal Wall Insulation) that can add over 100mm onto each wall, dramatically reducing room sizes and causing extra work in moving sockets, switches, radiators, skirting and architraves.

There is now a groundbreaking, cost-effective solution that is simple to implement for landlords, homeowners and any commercial building owners alike.

Upgrades EPC Rating

Simply but significantly improves EPC ratings on properties

Combats Cold Bridging

The products that we use have anti-condensation characteristics to reduce moisture and build up of mould growth caused by damp

Easy Application

Simple spray application process that also improves the condition of the internal walls

Resistance to Fire

Product controls flame spread and when applied to plasterboard, BS EN tests results show increased resistance to fire

Features and Benefits

• Significantly reduces heat loss from buildings

• Reduces cold (thermal) bridging in rooms

• Prevents build up of moisture & the growth of black-spot mould

• Raises EPC ratings on residential and commercial buildings

Ideal for treating empty properties at changeover of tenancies, the thermal insulating paint coating is applied to walls using a spray system at a thickness of as little as just a few mm depth to obtain a significant EPC uplift score.

Independently tested to British Standards EN

We will be able to model the predicted energy efficiency uplift numbers once we carried out the baseline assessment survey.
